The Balancing Act: Navigating Budgets, Burnout & Career Growth is a candid and empowering workshop designed for young professionals navigating the fast-paced realities of nonprofit, hospitality, and service-driven industries. Through an engaging expert panel discussion, attendees will gain practical insight into advancing their careers, growing within their organizations, managing heavy workloads, and finding creative solutions in high-pressure environments with limited resources.

Panelists will share real-world experiences and advice on topics including business development, fundraising, grant writing, workplace growth, burnout prevention, and how to continue showing value even after outgrowing your current role. Whether you work in nonprofit, hospitality, or any people-centered profession, this workshop will provide actionable strategies, honest conversations, and encouragement for building a sustainable and impactful career.

Perfect for emerging leaders, ambitious young professionals, and anyone looking to grow while maintaining balance in demanding industries.

Chamber Young Professionals (CYP) meet on a quarterly basis for professional development as they network, make business connections and build community with other young leaders of the Lee's Summit Chamber of Commerce. 

These workshops are an excellent way to improve your skills and relationships while deepening your understanding of topics such as leadership communication, sales and marketing. 

These events take place in April, June, August and November and typically take place the third Tuesday of those months from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

These meetings cost $20 and include lunch. They're open to all Chamber members between the ages of 21-40.
