Marcy Camburako has dedicated 33 years to the hotel industry, building a career focused on exceptional guest service, hospitality operations, and team leadership. Throughout her career, she has gained extensive experience in creating memorable guest experiences while managing the daily demands of a fast-paced environment. Marcy's passion for hospitality and commitment to excellence have allowed her to develop strong relationships with guests, colleagues, and industry partners. Marcy currently serves as the General Manager of the Hampton Inn Lee's Summit. Her previous roles include Director of Operations with Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Regional Director of Operations for Peachtree Hospitality Management and Midwest Regional Director of Operations for Hulsing Hotels Inc.
Damion Cooper is the founder and CEO of Collektive Co, a movement dedicated to creating spaces where students experience authentic life change through mentorship, community, leadership development, and fun. Through Collektive Co’s events, outreach initiatives, and partnerships with schools and athletic programs, Damion has impacted thousands of young people while speaking at camps, churches, colleges, and sports programs across the country. He also serves on the Championship Chaplains Speaking Team and invests in the next generation as a Character Coach and chaplain for local high school athletic programs.
Tyreka Smith serves as the Chief Operating Officer at TNC Community, where she oversees organizational operations and leads initiatives that expand equitable, high‑quality services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. With extensive experience in program leadership, systems development, and team performance across the nonprofit and human‑services sectors, she specializes in building sustainable, person‑centered programs that strengthen communities. Tyreka is deeply committed to improving service delivery and creating pathways that support individuals and families often overlooked in traditional systems.
Chamber Young Professionals (CYP) meet on a quarterly basis for professional development as they network, make business connections and build community with other young leaders of the Lee's Summit Chamber of Commerce.
These workshops are an excellent way to improve your skills and relationships while deepening your understanding of topics such as leadership communication, sales and marketing.
These events take place in April, June, August and November and typically take place the third Tuesday of those months from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
These meetings cost $20 and include lunch. They're open to all Chamber members between the ages of 21-40.
