Special Olympics Missouri is hosting its very first Plane Pull fundraiser happening alongside the 3rd Annual Block Party on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kansas City–Lee’s Summit Regional Airport.

This exciting event is a collaboration between Special Olympics Missouri, the Kansas City Police Department, the Lee’s Summit Police Department, and MSHP Troop A — bringing together community, friendly competition, and a whole lot of fun.

At Special Olympics Missouri, we provide year-round sports training and competitions for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. These programs do more than teach sports — they build confidence, foster friendships, and create life-changing opportunities for our athletes and their families.

The Plane Pull & Block Party will help raise the funds needed to keep these programs free for our athletes. Here are a few ways you or your business can get involved:
