LEE’S SUMMIT, MO. — (Feb. 13, 2025) — Lee’s Summit Medical Center announced today that the new, state-of-the-art Surgery Center of Lee’s Summit opened on Jan. 27, 2025. The ambulatory, same-day surgery center is certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), accredited by The Joint Commission and exclusively dedicated to outpatient surgery. The freestanding Surgery Center of Lee’s Summit is located on the campus of Lee’s Summit Medical Center at 1950 SE Blue Pkwy.  

The 18,800 square-foot facility features three operating rooms and two procedure rooms, equipped with the latest surgical technology and advanced surgical tools like ENT Sinus Navigation and a total joint surgery table. The expert team includes board-certified surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses and medical technicians, all highly trained in surgical and recovery care. Surgical services include bariatrics, colorectal, gastroenterology, general surgery, urogynecology, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, otolaryngology, pain management and podiatric surgery.
