LEE’S SUMMIT MEDICAL CENTER ANNOUNCES A $60 MILLION CAMPUS EXPANSION

Lee’s Summit Medical Center’s $60 million campus expansion strengthens its role as a trusted healthcare and economic partner in the region’s continued growth.

LEE’S SUMMIT, MO. — (Oct. 20, 2025) — Lee’s Summit Medical Center announced last week details of a transformative $60 million expansion of its campus. The investment underscores the hospital’s ongoing commitment to meeting the community’s growing healthcare needs while continuing to deliver safe, high-quality, and compassionate care close to home.

The project will include two new nursing units, 26 additional patient rooms, upgraded support areas, including pharmacy, laboratory, and food and nutrition services, and a fully redesigned Emergency Department. Completion is expected in 2027.

“This expansion is a reflection of the trust our community places in us and our continued commitment to growing alongside the families we serve,” said Lee’s Summit Medical Center CEO Gabe Clements. “By expanding our capacity, modernizing our facilities, and redesigning our Emergency Department, we are ensuring that every patient, whether they arrive in an emergency or for a planned procedure, receives exceptional care in an environment that supports healing, safety, and comfort. This project is about preparing for the future while staying true to our mission of caring for and improving human life.”
