Flourish is the only non-profit furniture bank in Kansas City and the only agency offering an entire home of furniture and furnishings for individuals that have experienced housing insecurity due to a variety of extremely difficult circumstances.  In order to best serve the community, Flourish partners with nearly 80 social service areas who refer their clients to us.   

Our partners ensure individuals coming to Flourish have been vetted and are also receiving the wraparound services needed for their success.  Due to the variety of our partner agencies, we serve individuals who have experienced domestic violence, refugees, young adults aging out of foster care, individuals who have been incarcerated, those that have experienced extreme poverty and job loss, individuals having disabilities and many more circumstances.  While each story is unique, all have experienced housing insecurity and Flourish comes alongside each of them as they are entering housing and a new phase of their life.   

From couches to can openers and bedding to bath towels, we provide an entire home of furniture and home essentials that provide dignity and function to their living space so they can meet daily needs and build strong family and community ties.   

We'd love to have you come visit us to learn more and to see our "magical surprises" such as our woodworking and sewing departments where our volunteers help create a space where compassion meets sustainability.  There's a little something for everyone and we look forward to sharing it with you.
