Bridging Communities: A Conversation with Economic Development Professionals - KCADC President & CEO Tim Cowden will moderate a panel of economic development professionals representing eastern Jackson County. The panelists include Lee's Summit EDC President, Joe Perry, Grandview EDC Director, David Carranza, and Independence Chamber/EDC President, Valerie Byrnes. March Luncheon Service Spotlight:

Due to the growing need for food and essential supplies in our community, the Lee’s Summit Chamber’s RISE Committee is taking action year-round by partnering with local food organizations through monthly collections at each Chamber luncheon. Chamber businesses are encouraged to come together to support families facing food and basic essential supplies insecurity. Businesses interested in hosting a collection at their own location may contact Linda Driskill at ldriskill@lschamber.com.

This month, we are proud to support Meals on Wheels of Lee's Summit, a local nonprofit delivering 150+ hot nutritious dietary specific meals each weekday for over 50 years to the elderly & disabled citizens of Lee's Summit enabling them to enjoy a more independent lifestyle. Meals on Wheels of Lee's Summit relies on generous donors and volunteers to operate. They currently need volunteers Monday - Friday; as well as continued financial support from the Lee's Summit community. 

Please note that this organization depends on the generosity of the community, as it is not government funded.
