Chamber Young Professionals Luncheon: How to Influence Others

Chamber Young Professionals Luncheon: How to Influence Others

Monday, June 24, 2024 (11:30 AM - 1:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

Influencing skills are a set of skills that every leader should have. They can help you encourage your coworkers or your employees to listen to your ideas to reach company or department goals.

Depending on your position, influencing skills can promote teamwork among employees you supervise and motivate them to put their best efforts toward projects you assign them. If you’re not in a leadership position yet, working on your influencing skills could boost your chances of being considered for one.

Use these skills to persuade your supervisor to consider your ideas for boosting sales or reducing operating costs, for example. When you put these skills to use after improving them, this also helps your supervisor see your potential as a leader.

Join Chamber Young Professionals as we hear from Lauren Sobaski, partner at Fisher Phillips law firm, on her experiences and expertise with honing in the power of influence.

DATE: Monday, June 24 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at ReeceNichols Lee's Summit.

COST: $20 total, lunch is included.

Chamber Young Professionals is open to members between the ages of 21–35. Members develop and engage the next generation of leaders through professional and personal development, civic involvement, and community service. Nonmembers interested in participating should contact Lisa Frogge, Director of Membership, at lfrogge@lschamber.com for reservations for a guest pass.
