Join the Chamber Young Professionals for a dynamic Lunch & Learn focused on the power of mentorship! Whether you're seeking a mentor, hoping to become one, or simply want to build more intentional professional relationships, this session will equip you with the tools to navigate those connections with confidence.

Learn how to identify potential mentors, foster authentic relationships, and make the most of mentorship opportunities—both formal and informal. Hear from four local leaders who have successfully built their careers through mentorship and walk away with practical strategies to strengthen your own network.

Enjoy a catered lunch, bring your questions, and get ready to invest in your future through the power of connection.

Dom Bennett — Assistant Director, City of Lee's Summit

With nearly two decades of leadership experience spanning both the public and private sectors, Dom is a results-driven administrator committed to fostering a high-performance, inclusive, and positive organizational culture. His leadership journey is defined by a strong track record of enhancing organizational value, improving the employee experience, and driving sustainable growth. Dom brings a broad skill set, including strategic planning and execution, leadership development, storytelling, and community engagement, all of which enable teams to perform at their highest potential.








Terrell Ford — Owner, Klassic Transformations Barber Academy

Terrell Ford-Owner of Klassic Transformations Barber Academy and Klassic Guy Barber Lounge has an extensive history in mentoring and coaching. Terrell has mentored aspiring entrepreneurs in the barbering industry for over 10 years. Terrell has also coached basketball for over 20 years. He is the Varsity head Coach at Notre Dame de Sion High School.


Sara Taylor — Customer and Community Relations, KC Dumpster Company

With a 23-year career in education, Sara has gained extensive experience in mentoring, including nine years as an instructional coach. In that role, she provided personalized support to teachers through one-on-one coaching, professional development, and classroom observations.

Today, Sara works alongside her husband to grow their family businesses in construction, waste management, and sustainability. She remains deeply engaged in her community, serving on multiple boards, commissions, and committees. Through this involvement, Sara continues to use her skills to inspire and support others in both their personal and professional growth.


Monica Tiffany — Creative Director/Principal, Merrigan & Co.

Monica Tiffany has been a professional copywriter for 25 years. She's currently the Principal/Creative Director at M&C, a Kansas City marketing agency specializing in communications and messaging for nonprofits. She benefited from thoughtful mentorship as she was learning the ropes in the nonprofit sector, and now regularly meets with students and emerging professionals to share her experience and advice. She is currently on the English Leaders Development Board at the University of Missouri-Columbia which supports English majors and connects them with opportunities beyond graduation.




Chamber Young Professionals (CYP) meet on a quarterly basis for professional development as they network, make business connections and build community with other young leaders of the Lee's Summit Chamber of Commerce. 

These lunch & learns are an excellent way to improve your skills and relationships while deepening your understanding of topics such as leadership communication, sales and marketing. 

These luncheons are held on a quarterly basis in February, May, August and November and typically take place the third Tuesday of those months from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

These meetings cost $20 and include lunch. They're open to all Chamber members between the ages of 21-40.

Chamber Young Professionals is open to members between the ages of 21–40. Members develop and engage the next generation of leaders through professional and personal development, civic involvement, and community service.
