Matthew Shull — CFP®, MBA, Financial Advisor at Capital Investment Management

As one of Capital Investment Management’s trusted financial advisors, Matthew’s purpose is to help clients make favorable financial planning decisions and be their voice of optimism. Seeing his clients succeed through challenging or uncertain circumstances is what drives Matthew to go above and beyond.

After attending Kansas State University and earning a bachelor’s degree, he went on to receive his Master of Business Administration degree from Rockhurst University. He has been in the financial industry since 2008 and with Capital Investment Management since 2016. As a CFP® professional, he acts as a fiduciary to help guide clients to better financial outcomes.



Rick Viar — Retired, former Community Bank President, Southern Bank
Prior to his retirement in 2025, Rick Viar served as the Community Bank President for Southern Bank in Lee’s Summit, bringing more than four decades of experience in commercial banking and a deep commitment to the Lee’s Summit community. Throughout his career, he has held positions of increasing leadership and responsibility in the banking industry.

A dedicated civic leader, Rick has served on numerous community boards and committees, including the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce, Lee’s Summit Economic Development Council, United Way of Greater Kansas City, Lee’s Summit Educational Foundation and Lee’s Summit Downtown Master Plan Task Force. His commitment to strengthening the community earned him the 2023 Civic Leadership Award from the West Gate Division of the Missouri Municipal League.


Lauren Wittig — Branch Manager, Lauren Wittig Team - Division of Luminate Bank

Lauren has been in the mortgage industry for more than 12 years and brings a unique combination of expertise in numbers, a bachelor's degree in accounting from UMKC, and a genuine passion for helping people. She loves guiding clients through the process of homeownership and long-term mortgage planning, building meaningful connections along the way.


Josh Wooley — CEO, Missouri Central Credit Union

Josh Wooley has served as CEO of Missouri Central Credit Union in Lee's Summit, Missouri since 2021, bringing 23 years of financial services experience, including 17 years in the credit union industry. During this time, MCCU has grown assets from $76M to more than $126M, nearly doubled its loan portfolio, and expanded membership from 7,500 to 11,600 — including through a 2025 merger that added roughly 3,000 members and $45M in assets. Before joining MCCU, Josh spent nine years as Vice President of Retail Delivery at Mazuma Credit Union, where he led branch operations, the call center, and the Operations and e-Services teams.







Chamber Young Professionals (CYP) meet on a quarterly basis for professional development as they network, make business connections and build community with other young leaders of the Lee's Summit Chamber of Commerce. 

These workshops are an excellent way to improve your skills and relationships while deepening your understanding of topics such as leadership communication, sales and marketing. 

These events take place in April, June, August and November and typically take place the third Tuesday of those months from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

These meetings cost $20 and include lunch. They're open to all Chamber members between the ages of 21-40.
