Help for the Holidays: Chamber Before Hours Volunteer Project
Tuesday, Nov. 17 | 8:30 AM | Chamber Office – 220 SE Main St.
The Chamber is bringing members, nonprofits and community partners together for a morning of service and community connection during our Help for the Holidays: Chamber Before Hours Volunteer Project.
The morning will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Chamber office with coffee, networking and a sweet treat. Participants can pick up a tag from the Chamber’s Giving Tree benefiting students at Pro Deo Youth Center, seniors at Home Instead and residents at the Langsford House: Group Home for Boys. Attendees will also have an opportunity to write an encouraging card for those assisted by Hope House.
At approximately 9 a.m., volunteers will gather for introductions before breaking into groups to assist with projects throughout the community.
Volunteer opportunities will include helping Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street set up the Mayor’s Christmas Tree and assisting Lee’s Summit Social Services with setting up its Christmas Store for local families.
Members are invited to join the Chamber for a morning of networking, service and giving back to the Lee’s Summit community.
