Diversity and Inclusion Committee

Description

Purpose: To educate and create opportunities within the Chamber of Commerce that supports diversity and inclusion in the Lee’s Summit business community by providing resources to benefit and attract businesses.

Goals:

• To provide an open forum for discussion and exploration of issues related to diverse and underrepresented businesses (minority business owners (racial/ethnic), women owned businesses and veteran owned businesses).
• To develop strategies for minority and disadvantaged business success through support and promotion in the LS community.
• To educate and inform the membership about financial opportunities to assist in the growth of the business.
• To serve as resources to other members seeking avenues to promote their businesses to diverse communities in LS and the region.
• To grow minority representation in the Chamber and in the LS business community.
• Establish a network of resources and promotional materials available to promote what the group is doing and how they can assist the business community.
