Presentation: At 16 years old, Matt Mitchell wanted a job so he went to the local McDonald’s where his older brother was a shift manager and applied. After 22 years working for McDonald's and moving up the corporate ladder, Matt was ready to start his own franchise and discovered Culvers. 21 years later with 15 Culver’s of their own, Matt, his family and his leaders have created a people first culture that is truly remarkable. 10 people in their organization have grown from team members working stations to Operating Partners with ownership of their respective restaurants. They have their own CEO and COO and are currently expanding outside of Kansas City to Wichita, KS, Fort Smith, AR, and soon into Oklahoma. They currently employ over 1300 people. During their 21 year run, the Mitchell organization has won awards for operational excellence, hospitality, and community impact.
