KC2026 will plan, construct and implement all aspects of Kansas City’s largest sports and fan engagement event in the region’s history.


Tracy Whelpley is the Director of Regional Impact for KC2026, where she collaborates with key stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that maximize the economic impact of the FIFA World Cup™—both in the short and long term. She brings over 25 years of experience in brand marketing, sponsorship activation, place branding, regional business attraction, and industry cluster development.
