"It Takes a Village"

Wednesday, Dec. 2| Green Street Market Pavilion | 5-7 p.m. 

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Join us as we wrap up the year with gratitude and festive cheer at the Chamber's Annual Holiday Reception.  This special evening is our way of saying "thank you" to our incredible members.  

This season, we’re celebrating the heart of what makes Lee’s Summit so special…our people, our partnerships, and our shared purpose. It Takes a Village to create a thriving community, and our members are at the center of it all. 

Join us for an evening of gratitude and connection as we highlight the incredible nonprofits that lift our neighbors and the Chamber food and beverage businesses that flavor our city. Enjoy frosty beverages, festive bites, holiday music, meaningful conversations, and the warm spirit of giving as we come together to celebrate a year of collaboration and look ahead to the opportunities of 2026 because together, our village shines brightly!

In the true spirit of “It Takes a Village,” we ask that everyone bring a donation of nonperishable food items to support Lee’s Summit Social Services.  If you forget, we are happy to take a monetary donation as well.  See the particular food items requested by Lee's Summit Social Services below.

Your contribution helps ensure that every member of our community feels the warmth and support of our village this holiday season. Together, we can make a meaningful difference—because when our village gives, our whole community grows stronger.

Festive Attire Requested

ADMISSION: As a ticket into the event, we kindly ask guests to bring non-perishable food items to support Lee’s Summit Social Services. They are in need of the following items:

 

Canned Goods:

  • Beans
  • Corn
  • Mixed Vegetables
  • Soup
  • Cranberry Sauce

 

Boxed Foods:

  • Rice
  • Stuffing Mix
  • Instant Potatoes
  • Pancake Mix
  • Macaroni and Cheese
  • Cake Mix

  • Jello Mix

  • Toilet Paper

This is an adults-only evening. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in making this a special celebration for all attendees.

Doors will open at 5:00 PM for members. Vendors will have early access to the event space to set up beforehand.
